LA Study Visits 2010             

The Local Authority is seeking applications for the following Study Visits.

1 Transition, February Half term 2010, deadline for applications to to the Local Authority is Friday July 10th 2009.

2 Social Inclusion, Easter 2010, deadline for applications to the Local Authority is Wednesday November 11th 2009.

The commitment

Prior to departure

2 meetings prior to the visit.

SWOT analysis with colleague(s) from your school taking part in the TIPD visit on classroom management, curriculum materials and leadership issues related to the study visit theme.

Joint report to school and LA on the outcomes of the above analysis.

Study Visit Abroad

Taking an active part in the programme abroad and contributing to daily discussions of findings.

After the study visit

Contribution to a group report penned by the LA group leader within 4 - 6 weeks of return.

Produce an action plan for your school at 6 months on how developments will be introduced in your school and send a copy to the LA.

Participate in the DCSF TIPD Evaluation programme.

Participate in the 6 weeks, 6 months, 1 year and 2 year meetings.
