| Teachers' International Professional Development |
The DCSF TIPD programme offers a variety of short-term visits overseas
that enables teachers to experience good practice around the world. The
programme supports continuing professional development, school
improvement and the international dimension.
Funding for TIPD includes travel from the UK airport to the destination, accommodation and the cost of the programme. It does not include travel to the port of departure in the UK or subsistence. Accommodation in some countries does not always include breakfast. Hosts may provide refreshments during visits to schools.
