Learning About Science and Religion Conference - 
19 May 2012
LASAR (Learning About Science and Religion) are holding a one-day conference at St Edmund's College in Cambridge on Saturday 19 May 2012.  The theme of the conference is 'Creativity, Creation and a Big Bang: 
Science and Religion in the School Curriculum'.

'Transforming RE' course - 24 January 2012
A new RE course called 'Transforming RE - How to meet the findings of the Ofsted report on Religious Education' will be taking place on Tuesday 24 January 2012.  This is an exciting one-off course which is not included in the 
CAS course booklet.
The course is aimed at all secondary teachers of RE and Heads of RE departments (KS3) in both the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough areas.

REEP and Culham Advent Calendar Feature 2011
The Religions, Environment and Education Programme (REEP) and The Culham Institute would like to make you aware of their new advent calendar feature.  This year's calendar explores the themes of Advent under four headings: Telling the Story, John the Baptist, Images of Judgement and Hymns and Carols.

Sikh Education Service
The Sikh Education Service works with schools, gurdwaras and SACREs across the UK.  
It offers school visits, workshops and assemblies.
Sikh Education Officer, Mr Harkirat Singh, is offering these training opportunities to both primary and secondary schools in Cambridgeshire.

The Farmington Institute - Fellowships for 
Teachers of Religious Education and Headteachers - Academic Year 2012-2013
It is now the time of year when The Farmington Institute circulates information about applications for the Farmington Fellowships for the next academic year.  These are aimed at Secondary and Primary School teachers, teachers of RE to children with Special Education Needs and Headteachers.
Applications are now being taken for fellowships taking place in the next academic year.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the date for the 
'Teachers' Working Party on the Peterborough Agreed Syllabus Review' (taking place at The Courtyard, Peterborough) has changed.
Please note that this event will now take place on 
Friday 11 November 2011 at The Courtyard in Peterborough from 9:15 am to 4:30 pm.
